Frequently asked questions
Is FiveBan affiliated with Cfx.re or any specific framework?
No. We're an independent project. We work with any FiveM server regardless of framework (ESX, QBus, vRP, custom). The resource only needs the player identifiers FiveM gives every server.
Where do you get the data?
Three sources:
- Self-reported — server staff submitting confirmed cheaters via
/submitcheater. - Cross-server intel — our selfbot scans participating Discord communities for ban announcements (with their permission) and matches identities across servers.
- Direct staff investigations — escalations from our own ticket queue.
Every entry is reviewed by a human before it goes live.
Can I see who I share a license hash with?
If you have a Pro or Business plan, the API returns alts_count. The full
list is restricted to staff (privacy reasons). If you suspect a confirmed
cheater is alting on your server, check the public lookup with each of
their identifiers — the system will detect alt patterns automatically.
How do I report a leak / abuse of the data?
Open a ticket on Discord and ping a Founder. We take data leaks seriously — your API key is hashed in our logs and the only place it appears in plaintext is in your dashboard.
What happens if your service is down?
The FiveM resource has a Config.OfflineAction option. The default is
log — players are allowed in but the event is logged for your review.
You can switch to block (deny everyone, fail closed) or lockdown (only
admins can join) for high-security servers.
Can I run my own copy?
Not at the moment. The data set is co-owned by the contributing servers and we don't license redistribution. If you want a private mirror for an internal use case, talk to us in a ticket.
I have a feature request
Open a ticket → Support and write it up. We track all requests in a public backlog and ship the most-requested ones first.
